Welcome
The 42ndmeeting of the General Synod in Vancouver B.C. brings together members and partners of the Anglican Church of Canada (ACC) for worship, friendship, discussions, learning, and decisions on important ministry matters.
More than 300 delegates, partners and guests will participate key events and governance decisions central to living out God’s mission in the world.
All plenary sessions welcome registered members of the media and the public on a first-come.

July 10-16 – The meeting of General Synod 2019, The Sheraton Wall Centre, Vancouver, BC
Thank you for your interest in the work of the Anglican Church of Canada.
Media credentials will be issued in Vancouver, BC, beginning at noon, Tuesday, July 9, 2019. No advance credentials will be issued.
General Synod Media Operations reserves the right to limit the number of credentials to any media outlet. Walk-in media credentials will be available on-site on a limited basis. Delegates/alternates and vendors/exhibitors to GS2019 are not eligible for media credentials. General Synod Media Operations reserves the right to refuse media credentials and to revoke media credentials at any time.
General Synod 2019 media credentials must be visible at all times while in the Sheraton Wall Centre.
The media room is open to credentialed media only.
The media room offers free Wi-Fi.
Media briefings are held daily. Locations and times will be announced. Additional media briefings will be slated with the locations and times announced by email, posted in the media room in advance, and placed on the General Synod 2019 website media page.
Times and locations of special news conferences will be announced as scheduled.
The allotment of media space in plenary room (main ball room) is limited and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
The General Synod 2019 media room is designed to be a place for credentialed members of the working media. Recipients of media credentials agree to refrain from advocacy-oriented activities in this area. Personal endorsements and/or promotional efforts will not be tolerated; media credentials will be revoked.
The daily schedule of General Synod 2019 is subject to change. Check with General Synod communications staff and the GS2019 media page for updated information.

Digital/tape recording and still photography are permitted during plenary business sessions; however, flash photography is prohibited during all plenary gatherings.
All electronic devices must be silenced during all sessions, media briefings, and while in the media room.
Media are not permitted on the floor of plenary while sessions are in progress. Media are required to remain in the designated media area.
Media are not permitted in committee and breakout rooms.
Inappropriate behavior, abusive language, and threats of any kind will not be tolerated. Media credentials will be immediately revoked.

Media resources such as photos, videos, briefing summaries etc., will be available during the General Synod to onsite and offsite (distant) credentialed media.

The media conferences/briefings take place in Vancouver, B.C. at the Sheraton Wall Center, Gulf A Room. Media credentials are required.
